The history of vibrators is also a history of sexual health, pleasure, and politics. For this reason the Vintage Vibrator Museum was created by Babeland—a mission-driven, adult retailer that is committed to expanding the public's understanding of sex and sex toys. The museum fills an educational niche while providing an alternative connection and brand-resonance with the customer base.
Many of the vibrators in the museum collection are shown on the musuem website. Others are exhibited in Babeland retail enviornments. Both web and in-store exhibition graphics were inspired by (and partially created from) vintage collateral housed in the museum collection. The blending of antique, vintage, and contemporary elements allows for a sense of age without locking the design into any one historic frame.
